The Holy Loner

The Holy Loner plays ‘Hoodoo Folk’, a genre he coined and describes as “Two chords and two hundred words”.
Originally from Christchurch, The Holy Loner was part of the legendary 90’s indie scene that developed there – playing in Ape Management and Royce T Doyster amongst others.
These days he resides in Masterton where he spends his days in his home studio chipping away at his Hoodoo Folk Symphonies.
He is currently applying the finishing touches to his debut album “Tell the Mountain to Cry Me a River” that will be released globally by Powertool Records.

(The Holy Loner used to perform as dragstrip, he released the EP “The Holy Loner and the Crystal Drifter’ as well as many compilation tracks under that name on Powertool Records. The curse of having a name that Google couldn’t separate from High Performance cars and images of xmas tree start lights provided a catalyst for a name change)
